Montgomery - Ezel McEachern Bishop, almost 91 years young, of Montgomery, Alabama went to be with the Lord Friday, March 29, 2013, (Good Friday). Mrs. Bishop was born April 17, 1922 in Edwardsville (Cleburne County), Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. and Eva D. McEachern and a brother, Mack D. McEachern. She left behind three children, James Anthony Moone, Thomas Leo (Mary) Moone, and Lavenia Moone (George) McKinley. She had seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bishop was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Past President of Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, Life Member of Eastern Star Elizabeth Armstrong Chapter #10, Past Matron 1964-65, Past President of Past Matron and Patron Club #10, O.E.S., member of Palestine White Shrine of Jerusalem #3, Life Member and Past President of Woman's Club of Montgomery, Inc., Past President of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 2, Department of Alabama 1987-88 and VIM member paid up for life, Past Southern Division National Vice President 1991-92, Past Chapeau 8 et 40, organized Capitol City Salon #794, went on to serve State of Alabama as Departmental Chapeau 8 et 40 de Alabama, Past President Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Smith Wynn #96, Past President Widowed Persons Service 1996-98 WPS, Member of Archibald and Sr. Friends. Mrs. Bishop also worked with State of Alabama Highway Dept. and Agriculture and Industries with a total of 31 years of service. She travelled many countries. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Dryden Funeral Home, Heflin, with service to follow in the chapel, with the Rev. Fred Fuller officiating. Graveside will be at Antioch Methodist Church Pallbearers will be John McEachern, Ricky Prichard, Walter Dean Prichard, Travis Prichard, Jerry Mac Prichard, and Steve Brown. A memorial service will be held at the chapel at First United Methodist Church, Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
