Baier passed away Tuesday evening at his residence, surrounded by his family, as was his wish. Seeking opportunity and adventure, Paul immigrated to the United States from Dorum, Germany in the 1956, and was drafted into the US Army on April 7, 1959. He made the military his career, retiring from the Military Police Corps after 30 years, making many good and lifelong friends along the way. Duty assignments included tours throughout the United States, Germany, and Korea. Despite the demands of being a professional soldier, he always made loving and providing for his wife and family his first priority.
