Frances Beaird Morris, 89, went to her Heavenly home Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 22 days from her 90th birthday. Services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Oxford where she was a member. Pastor Jeff Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford. Burial will be at Pine Hill Memorial in Talladega. Survivors include son, Lamar (Pudgy) and wife, Debbie Beaird, of Oxford; son, Larry and wife, Dusty Beaird, of Ringgold, Ga.; grandson, Jeff Spendlove and wife, Tova, of Oxford; granddaughters, Kelli Beaird, of Birmingham, Stephanie Folks and Shari Smith of Chattanooga, Tenn. Two special great-granddaughters, Katie Spendlove and Melissa Spendlove, of Oxford; son-in-law, Tommy Spendlove. Frances was a professional seamstress for many businesses, churches, schools and individuals in Anniston and Talladega for many years. She retired from the State of Alabama Death and Blind School in Talladega. Her passion was sewing, gardening and taking care of the hundreds of hummingbirds that flocked to her front porch feeders each season. Pallbearers will be Jeff Spendlove, Phillip Austin, Dalton Patterson, Ricky McCombs, Kyle McCoy and Jerry Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Wages. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Eb Morris; daughter, Barbara Ann Spendlove; son, Richard Beaird, and her first husband Sherman Beaird. Frances was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
