Frances Sams Bright, 81, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2017. She is survived by her son, Glenn Bright; daughter-in-law, Claire Bright; grandson, Joseph Bright, and sister, Louise Key. She was predeceased by her husband, of 54 years, Bobby Bright and her daughter, Vonda Michelle Bright. The family wishes to thank the many friends that made this long and arduous journey easier to endure, and for all of those who worked, loved, and sacrificed to make her life more rich and comfortable. Each of you have enlightened our lives and are a blessing that we will always cherish. The family will receive visitors at the Anniston Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. with the service beginning at 2 p.m. The Rev. Norris Hilton is presiding. The private burial will follow at the West Point Cemetery. The family wants to offer special appreciation to Dr. Sengar and the caregivers at Alabama Cancer Care, Dr. Uy and his staff, the care providers with Gentiva Home Health Care and Gentiva Hospice, and to all of those that provided for her needs at the Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations, in memory, of Frances be made to the Etowah County Cancer Foundation, 713 Goodyear Avenue Gadsden, Alabama 35903.
