Funeral service for Mrs. Frances Wilson Prickett, 99, will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Angel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Starling officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. The family will receive friends tonight from 5-7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Mrs. Prickett passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. Mrs. Prickett was the oldest daughter and last survivor of seven children of Joe Henry and Willie Mooney Wilson. She was born in Calhoun County and has lived here all her life. She was known and respected as a hard worker. She served in the lunchroom of Cedar Springs School for 15 years and later retired from Blue Mountain Industries after more than 20 years. The oldest member of Angel Grove Baptist Church, she was a faithful member for 86 years. She was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was devoted to family and friends, and through her bright spirit and mischievous sense of humor, bought joy to all who came in contact with her. She is survived by one son, Joel C. Prickett (Doris); one granddaughter, Cari P. Wilson (Van); three great-grandchildren, Mary Grace, Isaac Reagan and Kata Faith, and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as, a great number of friends. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings, Samuel Wilson, William Wilson, Winston Wilson, Hazel Williamon, Mary Jo Champion and Pauline Littlejohn. Pallbearers will be Isaac Wilson, Brian Wilson, Adam Wilson, Joe Wilson, Jon Gidley, and Will Angel. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
