Anniston - Funeral services for Deacon Fred Lynch, 82, will be on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the New Vision Fellowship Christian Church with Elder Willie D. Howard, pastor officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. Deacon Lynch's remains will arrived at the church one hour prior to his services. A wake will be this evening from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel. Deacon was a United States Army veteran. He retired from City of Anniston Sanitation Department, and was working part-time for Parks & Recreation Department. He was a member of New Vision Fellowship Christian Church where he served as Chairman of Deacon Board, Superintendent of Sunday School, and Custodian. Survivors include his children, Beverly Walker, Linda Lynch, Wanda J. Lynch, Janice Lynch, Freddie Lynch Jr., Kenneth Lynch, all of Anniston, Bryan Lynch, and Darrin Lynch, of California; siblings, Jeannie M. (Willie J.) Pierce, of Phoenix, Ariz., Jeanette (Ricky Sr.) Wilson, Barbara J. (John) Hinton, Arthur L.(Doris) Lynch, Lamar Lynch Jr. and Pastor Arthur J. (Alicia M.) Lynch Sr.; twenty-one grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lizzie Lynch; special grandson, Gary Burnett; special nephews, Leander and Lonzo Lynch and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Lynch Sr. and Willie Mae Lynch and brother, Lonzo Lynch Sr. Anniston Funeral Services "Where service begins and never ends." 256-236-0319
