Funeral service for Mr. Fred Willis "Rabbit" Taylor Jr., 78, will be today, November 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor resided in Wellington and was a member of First Baptist Church of Duke. Along with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Taylor Sr., he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; granddaughter, Rae Ann Taylor; two brothers, Homer Taylor and Clyde Taylor and sister, Nannie Lou Roper. Mr. Taylor passed away November 27, 2014 at Piedmont Health Care. Mr. Taylor is survived by his three children, Deborah and husband Bob Heathcock, of Wellington, Freddie Taylor and his wife Gloria, of Alexandria and Scott Taylor and his wife Jane, of Wellington; grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Kelsey Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Rana Taylor, Jeremy Heathcock and Selina Stovall; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Heathcock, Ryan Taylor, Austin Taylor, Hunter Stovall, Eric Stovall and Wayne Hurst. Mr. Taylor served as a baseball coach and was passionate of Alexandria Football. He enjoyed sitting in his recliner and watching the Alabama Crimson Tide. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhillfh.com
