Freddie Charles Brooks, 66, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Haralson County, November 17, 1948, son of the late Charles William Brooks and Helen Ruth Jordan Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a former employee of the Hoover Hanes Rubber Company where he worked as a foreman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Dominick and a brother, Randy Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bell Brooks, of Fruithurst; daughters, Misty and Kevin Skinner, of Fruithurst, Tonda Porter, of Florida, Tiffany Brooks, of Florida, Michelle Brooks, of Albany, Ga., Joy Brooks, of Albany; two grandchildren, Karissa Skinner and Kaden Skinner, of Fruithurst; a sister, Teresa and Dennis Bell, of Tallapoosa. Service will be today, August 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with the Reverend Shane Leggett and the Reverend Donald Leggett officiating.
