Genell Snow Cobb, 81, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be today, January 17, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Cobb (Mickey) Mixon, of Sugarland, Texas and Rita Cobb (Bobby) Bailey, of Heflin; sons, Jerome (Deb) Cobb, of Heflin and Tony (Lisa) Cobb, of Eastaboga; sisters, Clintes Davis, of Oxford, Gerrie Harman, of Heflin and Sue Strickland, of Oxford; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Judson Bailey, Matt Cobb, Corey Cobb, Ted Mixon, Kit Mixon and T.J. Tims. Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Bruce Wright and Nolen Wright. Mrs Cobb was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was a Godly woman who loved children and children loved her. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Eva Snow; her husband of over fifty years, Billy Joe Cobb; brothers, Tommy Lee and Coy Snow; brother-in-law, Penny Strickland and sister-in-law, Shirley Snow.
