George Alexander Whaley, 51, went to heaven on November 13, 2015 at UAB SICU. George Whaley is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Whaley; sons, Alex Whaley and wife, Jordan Whaley, Josh Whaley and Shelby Pickette, Joseph Cheek; the two loves of his life, Jay and Coleson Whaley; Dad, Jerry Thompson; father and step-mother, George and Karole Whaley; sisters, Jesslyn Dyson and Tammy Poole and her husband, Mitchell; grandmother, Sue Alexander and all his beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephew. George Whaley is preceded in death by his loving mother, Judy Thompson and grandfather, George Alexander. A Celebration is scheduled for November 16, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Oxford in the Chapel from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. with a service to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George's life. Mr. Whaley was the former owner of The Great American Car Wash on Quintard in Anniston. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford.
