Funeral services for Mr. George Larry "Jimmy" Clark Jr., 88, will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Burgess and the Rev. Sam Legon officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until service time. Burial will follow the service in Ragan Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Clark died on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden. Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Geraldine Clark, of Ohatchee; his sister, Lera Blackburn, of Saks and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Larry Clark Sr. and Mittie Belle Reynolds Clark; his son, Michael Dennis Clark, and several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Steve Taylor, Phillip Caldwell, Tim Caldwell, Bobby Shuler, Lee Shuler, Tommy Dulaney, Jerry Dulaney, Bill Dulaney, and George Neil "Possum" Phillips. Mr. Clark, known as "Uncle George" to many, was a loving and kind-hearted friend to everyone. He was a Jack-of-all-Trades and never met a stranger. An avid Alabama fan, he enjoyed bragging on the Crimson Tide and being jovial to all he met. Mr. Clark will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ragan's Chapel Cemetery Fund, 127 Cherokee Trail, Ohatchee, AL 36271.
