Graveside service for Mr. Gerald D. Brown, 76, will be today September 11, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Homer Longoria officiating. Mr. Brown died on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Jean Brown, of Piedmont; his daughter, Stacey J. (Eddie) Burt, of Jacksonville; his son, Gerald D. Brown II, of Jacksonville; one sister, Marilyn Cooley, of Texas; three grandchildren, Christina Brown, Ashley Irwin and Danielle Haynes; three great grandchildren, Madlyn Brown, Elizabeth Vessell and Dalton Haynes; and one soon-to-be great grandson, Aiden Irwin. Mr. Brown retired from Solutia and was a US Navy veteran. He served his country during the Vietnam War era. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
