It's been said that if you choose a job you love, then you'll never work a day in your life. For Gerald Grogan, that job was coaching high school football. He always wanted to make a program better and that meant players, team, and facilities. He took pride in growing the program, building up facilities and spent countless hours sweeping floors, fertilizing, watering, and mowing grass, among many other things, in order to make it all look great. According to many of his former players, what he really did best was to grow and build young men. More important than his win-loss record, were the people he encountered during his lifetime. He loved people and never met a stranger. Mostly, he was proud of the family he and his late wife, Pat had grown and he loved them dearly. We celebrate his life and are so grateful for the love, grace, and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Coach Gerald Grogan was a good coach and a better man. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
