In loving memory of our father, Gerald Lamar Chastain, March 21, 1941 to January 31, 2014. Gerald is survived by a son and daughter, Michael Huber, of McMinnville, Ore. and Christi Chastain, of Ohatchee; four grand-children, Stephanie Huber, Portland, Ore., Kirstin Hill, Cameron Hill and Avery Hill, all of Anniston; three great-grandchildren. Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Paul Chastain, of Anniston; his brothers, Paul Chastain Jr, of Riverside, Calif., Charles Chastain, of Anniston and J.C. Chastain of Buffalo, New York. Gerald, who was battling cancer and heart disease passed peacefully at home with his daughter by his side but the entire family in his heart. Gerald leaves behind a legacy of a loving hard working father and friend to many others who came into his life. An Anniston native, Gerald retired after a remarkable career at Union Foundry in Anniston. The family would like to recoginize Dr. Jasser, Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Curtain and Dr. Spremulli who showed great compassion, care and love for our father over the last few years - Thank You!!! Our family has decided to hold a private celebration of life for the man who is our hero. Chapel Hill Funeral Home will be servicing the Chastain family.
