Gerald Mason Perkins, 80, died Sunday, November 02, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 05, 2014, at Pinetucky Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Wayne Morris, the Rev. Kenneth Howell, and the Rev. Doug Prestridge officiating. Burial will follow in Pinetucky Cemetery. Visitation will be today November 04, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include wife, Barbara J. Blanton Perkins, Heflin, Ala.; daughter, Geralyn P. Allen, Heflin; son, Timothy W. Perkins, Heflin; son, Gregory A. Perkins, Barnsville, Ga. sister, Barbara P. Buchannan, Oxford; sister, Shirley P. Joseph, Piedmont; sister Pauline P. Spears, Heflin; brother, Carl Perkins, Woodland; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; caregiver, Barbara Beason. Pallbearers Jeremy Allen, Joshua Allen, Drayton Perkins, Hunter Perkins, Wally Blanton, Palmer Chappelle, Tyler Hollis, Phisher Perkins and Berkley Perkins. Honorary Pallbearers Class of 1953 Roger Johnson, Rev. Jackie Taylor Deacons of Church Billy Holley. Mr. Perkins was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County.
