The funeral service for Mrs. Geraldine W. Bryant, 84, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Rev. Rick Nabors and the Rev. Truman Norred officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Bryant passed away on August 6, 2015. Mrs. Bryant was a member of Blue Mountain Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was a Godly woman, a devoted wife and loved her family. She had retired from Sears after 44 years. Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Terrell West Sr. and Ruby Howard West; and her brothers, Howard West and Joseph Terrell "J.T." West Jr. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, R.C. Bryant, of Anniston; a daughter, Teresa Smith and her husband, Clay, of Alexandria; grandchildren, Matthew Lumpkin (Emily) and Katie Lynch (Michael); great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Lumpkin, Matty Lumpkin and Chandler Cook; daughters of the heart, Pam Robertson (Kenny) and Teri Suter (Philip); two sisters, Josephine Horton, of Anniston and Betty Davidson, of Oxford; a sister-in-law, Betty Jo West, of Eastaboga; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Matthew Lumpkin, William Lumpkin, Eddy Beard, Philip Suter, Freddie Taylor, Scott Bundrum, Kenny Robertson and Roscoe Griffith. The family wishes to thank their special caregiver, Carolyn Whitfield, as well as Tangi Horton, Brenda O'Dell, Shonda Mangum, Tina Levesque.
