Gordon Edward "Big Ed" Langley, 71, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at RMC Anniston. Mr. Langley is survived by two children, Bran Langley and Lee Langley (Jessica), all of Piedmont; and three grandchildren, Katelyn Lawler, Kate Truett and Lauryn Truett. Mr. Langley was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont, was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He was the overseer of the Cross The Creek Hunting Club, was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved spending time with his granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ethel Langley; and by his brothers, Bobby, Tommy, Ronnie, James and Billy Daryl. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 6-7 p.m. Members of the Cross The Creek Hunting Club and John Davis, Van White and Scotty Crabb will serve as honorary pallbearers.
