Funeral service for Harold D "Hal" Willingham, 85, will be Thursday, August 13, 2015, 11 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Dr. C.O. Grinstead will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 - 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Willingham passed away on Saturday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy R. Willingham; daughter, Kim Willingham Hodge (Bill); son, Harold "Hal" Willingham Jr; grandchildren, Jessica Willingham Hurst (Harry), Amber Willingham, Heather Willingham (Jarred) and Aubrey Louder Laughrey (Chris); great-granddaughter, Sherry Maire Schoeffel and sister, Mary Fox. Pallbearers will be members of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Willingham was a resident of Oxford. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Willingham was retired from the U.S. Air Force Pilot with over 20 years of service serving during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by parents, John Randall Willingham Sr and Irene Puckett Willingham; sister, Hazel Pennell; brothers, John Randall Willingham Jr and Charles Roland Willingham; a daughter, Karen Elizabeth Willingham. Thanks to all the care givers. A special thanks to Sharlene Knox. You were in the family too, but thanks for the loving patience and the kind caregiver that you were.
