Funeral service for Mrs. Harrell M. Humphries, 87, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Stephen Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Humphries passed away on July 24, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Humphries was a member of Hill Crest Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church, cooking and shopping at Trade Day. Mrs. Humphries loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, especially at Christmas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 wonderful years, Lewis Frank Humphries; two sons, Roger Humphries and Danny Humphries; her parents, Florance and Francis Mize; a brother, Raymond Mize, and a grandson, Kyle Humphries. Mrs. Humphries is survived by her daughters, Valera Sanders (Bobby), of Oxford, Brenda Brimer (Michael), of Oxford, Vickey Smith (Greg), of Saks, and Telina Bryant (Tim) of Oxford; sons, Manuel Humphries (Teresa), of Eastaboga, Faron Humphries (Malinda), of DeArmanville, Rickey Humphries (Susie), of Alexandria, Aaron Humphries, of Jacksonville, and Kenneth Humphries (Shelia), of Oxford; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Humphries, of Oxford; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Taylor, of Fallbrook, Calif.; five nieces and six nephews.
