Funeral service for Mr. Harry "Jim" Gaumer, 91, formerly of Anniston, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Mr. Gaumer went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 24, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita Gaumer, of Huntsville; his daughter, Pat (Larry) Moore, of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Scott and Derek Moore, of Huntsville, Jasmin Gaumer, of Raleigh, N.C. and Kacey Gaumer, of Charlotte, N.C.; six great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kai Moore, Ezra (Nicole) Alman, and Broughton, Evelyn, and Colette Bowden. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Mr. Gaumer was retired from the US Army after 30 dedicated years. During his military career, Mr. Gaumer served under General Patton in WWII and toured throughout Europe. Mr. Gaumer is preceded in death by his son, Harry Coyle Gaumer.
