A memorial service for Mr. Harvell F. Campbell Jr., 84, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Dr. Roland Brown officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Campbell passed away on June 3, 2014, at his home in Anniston. Mr. Campbell was a United States Army veteran. Following his military service, he began working for Union Foundry. He then went to work as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service and retired after many years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Alabama Postal Federal Credit Union and was a former Deacon at Blue Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Rodney Campbell and his parents, Fred and Lola Mae Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Sandra J. Campbell, of Anniston; a daughter, Freda Gunnells and her husband, Jerry, of Oxford; grandchildren, Stacy Carroll and Tracy Ramey and her husband, Steve; great-grandchildren, Morgan Goodwin, Garrett Helms and Braedyn Kate Ramey; sisters, Barbara Clay, of Anniston and Billie Ann Murray and her husband, Mark, of Alabaster; step-children, DeAnne Bryant and her husband, Skeet, of Ohatchee, Jimmy Ingram and his wife, Brooke, of Anniston and Malinda Holt and her husband, Jeff, of Oxford; step-grandchildren, Peri Bryant, Taylor Burnham and Tanner Ingram and several nieces and nephews.
