Funeral services for Harvie Clayton Anderson, 84, will be Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. Leslee Bailey and the Rev. Jack Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Anderson died Thursday at Cherokee County Health and Rehab Center. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruby Anderson; a daughter, Linda (Micky) Howell; a son, Jerry (Frankie) Anderson; five sisters, Edna (John Paul) Cothran, Mary Hill, Shirley (Kenneth) Agan, Myrtle Sellers, Doris (Billy) Bardfield; two brothers, Clinton Anderson and Lewis (Jean Ann) Anderson; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Howell, Ashley (Craig) Pearson, Michael (Sundi) Howell, Brandon Anderson, Tracie (Gene) Shellhouse, Jeremie Anderson and Shannon Eubanks; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brandon Anderson, Michael Howell, Gene Shellhouse, Eddie Mashburn, Chip Shellhouse, Norris Turner, Mark Cothran and Hoyt Turner. Mr. Anderson retired from Union Yarn Mills in Jacksonville after 33 years of service. He loved gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Tredegar Chapel Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Lumus Anderson and sisters, Anna May Dickerhoof and Margret Anderson.
