Funeral service for Ms. Hazel Knighten Boozer, 88, will be Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Williams with the Rev. Chris Thomas and the Rev. Bob McLeod officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6-8 this evening and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery. Ms. Boozer went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She is survived by one daughter, Jane Boozer Williams, of Birmingham; one son, Phil Boozer and his wife, Michele, of Jacksonville; her sister, Dorothy Bishop, of Hokes Bluff; seven grandchildren, Staci Fifolt and her husband, Matt, Josh Williams, Chad Williams and his wife, Jesse, Grant Williams and his wife, Jana, Magan Ellard and her husband, Jeff, Blake Boozer and his wife, Ashley and Emi Boozer; 10 great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace Fifolt, Sophie Williams, Walker Williams, Eli Williams, Karr Williams, Avery Williams, Brooks Ellard, Mills Ellard, Briggs Ellard and Braden Boozer; a host of nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Pat Talley. Pallbearers will be Blake Boozer, Josh Williams, Chad Williams, Grant Williams, Matt Fifolt and Jeff Ellard. Ms. Boozer was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williams. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Cooking was one of her trademarks and she was an animal lover at heart. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, collecting antiques, sewing and building things. Ms. Boozer had a very artistic personality and was extremely creative with a huge imagination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Napolean Boozer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Williams, 5579 Nisbet Lake Road, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
