Funeral service for Helen Osborne Weathington, 86, will be Friday 2:30 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Cody Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Cooper) Turner; son, James Arthur Weathington; five grandchildren, Cyndi (Kenny) Nelson, Jayda Owens, Sharon Turner (Daniel) Hall, Jonathan (Tiffany) Weathington and Jennifer Weathington; three sisters, Sadie Adams, Juanita Clayton and Emma "Bobbie" Free; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and two special friends, Betsy Simmons and Louise Luallen. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Authur Edward Weathington. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mrs. Weathington was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed bird watching, fishing and being with her family. Holidays were very special to her, especially Christmas time, but every occasion was spent making memories with her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angel Mission Ministry, c/o Iron City Baptist Church, 41 Mandy Lane, Anniston, AL 36207.
