Henry D. Cornelius, 93, died on June 13, 2017 in Madison, Alabama. Family and friends will gather at Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery in Oxford, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the . Henry Cornelius was born on November 30, 1923 in Verbena, Alabama, but his heart and childhood home was in Anniston. He graduated from Anniston High School and Birmingham Southern College, with post-graduate work having been done at Harvard University. He served as a U.S. Naval Officer, Lieutenant, J.G., during World War II. His lifelong work was hospital financial administration. Henry is survived by his brother, Douglas Cornelius and family of Center Point, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.
