A Memorial Service for Mr. Henry W. "Hank" Alexander, 96, of Anniston, will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Mr. Alexander died August 12, 2014. Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had retired from the United States Naval Reserves. He proudly served as a bombardier during World War II. He had also retired from Birmingham Sash and Door. Mr. Alexander had been a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Oxford for many years. Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his wives, Jean Jenkins Alexander and Frances Crosson Alexander; a grandson, Craig Coogler; a step daughter, Tammy Crosson Muth. Mr. Alexander is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Ballard and her husband, Monty, of Birmingham; sons, Stan Alexander and his wife, Kathy, of Birmingham and Henry Alexander and his wife, Kathy, of Toledo, Ohio; a step daughter, Shelia Redden and her husband, Dean, of Nebraska; six grandchildren, Candace Fisher, Cale Coogler, Rachel Alexander, Morgan Alexander, Scott Alexander, and Susan Bonds; and numerous great grandchildren.
