Service for Horace Allen Childers, 77, will be Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel in Heflin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Childers died Thursday in Anniston. He is survived by his former spouse, caregiver and best friend, Ellen Childers, of Anniston; two daughters, Teresa Childers, of Oxford, and Leslie Cisson, of Easley, S.C.; two grandchildren, Taylor Stacks and Hayden Cisson; sister, Marlene George; brother, Lamar Childers, and two nieces and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Childers. Horace Allen "H.A." was a veteran of the U.S Air Force and was retired from The Anniston Army Depot. He loved his family, his friends and being outdoors. He was a consummate giver, always taking care of his family and those he loved. He loved to fish, hunt and make people laugh.
