Service for Huey Hinton Reedy, 81, will be today May 27, 2014, at 7 p.m at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Pike officiating. Burial with military honors will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 4:30 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Reedy passed away Saturday May 24, 2014, at Piedmont Health Care Center. Survivors include his children, Keith Reedy, of Rome Georgia; Beth Reedy, Jane Minton (Ken), Jonathan Reedy (Jenny) and Bruce Reedy (Tara), all of Piedmont; 10 grandchildren, Joshua Reedy, Wesley Minton, Addie Jane Minton, Sara Beth Minton, Elliot Reedy, Seth Reedy, Mitchell Skidmore, Cade Bradley, Collin Bradley, and Noah Reedy; one great-grandchild and several nieces and cousins. Pallbearers will be Joshua Reedy, Wesley Minton, Elliot Reedy, Seth Reedy, Jonathan Reedy and Ken Minton. Mr. Reedy was born to Hugh Elliot and Sadie Arnet Reedy on April 11, 1933. He was a resident of Piedmont most of his life and was of the Christian faith. He was a U.S. Air Force Korean war veteran and enjoyed raising cows, gardening and horseback riding. He worked in the service and parts department and as sales manager at Little's Motor Company and ended his career with his own used car business. Mr. Reedy was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Reedy; grandson, Eric Flor; parents,Hugh Elliot and Sadie Reedy and three sisters Mary Eva Locklear, Willie Grace Lowery and Betty Jean Couch www. thompsonfuneralhomepiedmont.com
