Huey "Bootsie" J. Jennings, 86, retired Excel meat cutter, passed away July 5, 2017. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and was known best for his wit and humor. Whenever he was asked how he was doing, he would reply, "Teee'rific"! Bootsie enjoyed taking walks outside. He was former owner of Huey Jennings Grocery in Anniston. He was preceded by wife, Mary Jo Jennings; parents, Huey Sr. and Nora Jennings; siblings, David, Leonard, Horace Jennings, and an infant sister. Bootsie is survived by daughters, Debbie (Stanley) Keown and Paula (Don) Dean; sisters, Cora (Hollis) Harris, Vera (John) Daniel, Margaret Crowson, and Doris (Marlon) Greenwood; grandchildren, Brandon (Ferné) Keown, Mary (Jason) Allen, and John (Lindsey) Dean, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Resthaven Chapel. Memorials may be made to Know Your Bible, 4545 N Meridian Ave, Wichita, KS 67204.
