Funeral service for Hughlon B. (Red) Watts, 81, will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Mitchell Muns officiating. Burial will follow at Mannings Chapel Cemetery in Clay County. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 - 7 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mr. Watts passed away at his home Tuesday morning. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mildred Watts; daughter, Teresa Turner; sons, Mike Watts (Anita) and Mark Watts (Susie); grandchildren, Anna Turner, Holly Watts, Trisha Owens (Chad), Jacob Watts (Alex) and Valerie Turley (John); five great-grandchildren; sister, Mollie Gaddy; brothers, Gene Watts (Christine), Olin Watts (Doris) and Robert H. Watts (Glenda); several nieces and nephews. Mr. Watts is preceded in death by his parents, Att and Margrett; brother, James Watts; sister, Ermaline Watts and grandson, Justin Scott. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Watts, Jacob Watts, Chad Owens, Billy Watts, Terry Watts and Robert Watts. Mr. Watts was a native of Clay County but spent the majority of his life in Alexandria.
