Illa Christine "Tina" Bussey Dale, 87, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at NE AL Regional Medical Center in Anniston. She was born to the late John Henry Bussey and Lena Allen Bussey on October 30, 1926. She resided the majority of her life in the Coldwater Community. Tina was a 1945 graduate of Oxford High School and worked for South Central Bell a number of years as a telephone operator/supervisor. She was a member of the Local Pioneers of South Central Bell and the Military Officers' Wives Club. Friends and family were Tina's passion and delight. She never met a stranger and could always find out more information about a person in just one conversation. They immediately became her friend. She treasured her friendships and loved to host and entertain. As quoted from one of her nephews, "She brought life everywhere she went." Tina enjoyed traveling and loved to share her adventures. She loved playing Bingo and card games, especially Rummy because she said it kept her mind active. She is preceded in death by her husband, Retired Major Raymond Dale; her brothers, Willard Bussey, Fred Bussey and Bartley Bussey; her sisters, Beatrice Bussey Holmes, Lessie "Danny" Bussey Harper and Johnnie Bussey Gonzales and her son-in-law, Tim Traywick. Tina is survived by her sister, Jimmie Bussey Norris and sister-in-law, Betty Bussey; Children, Melissa Dale Craven (Mike), Adrian Dale, Chloe Dale Henderson (Gary), Elyse Dale Traywick and Helen Dale Holland (Herb); Grandchildren, Farrah Craven Waller (Matt), Terry Craven (Meredith), Gage Craven (Molly), Josh Traywick, Tyler Traywick, Dale Henderson (Erica), Brody Craven and Angela Holland Cocks (Mike). She had 3 great-grandchildren, Tanner Craven, Hannah Waller and Olivia Craven. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in many heart-felt forms. With too many people to name individually, but a few including, 5th floor nursing staff and aides at NE AL Regional Medical Center, Rachael and Fresenius Oxford Home Therapy Staff, friends of the 1111 Club, Desoto Past Time Center and Chicken Club. Tina touched the lives of many people with her smile, generosity and sense of humor.
