A memorial service for Mrs. Imogene L. "Gene" Heath, 85, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in the sanctuary of Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Mack Amis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Mrs. Heath passed away on November 10, 2016, at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Heath loved Jesus, her family and her church, Parker Memorial Baptist, where she taught Sunday school and assisted with the Homebound Ministry. She loved music and sang for many years in the choir. She was retired from RMC and Alabama Quality Assurance. Mrs. Heath is preceded in death by her parents, R. Asa Lloyd and Grace Head Lloyd. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jethro "Buddy" Heath, of Anniston; her daughters, Karen Stokes and her husband, Raymond, of Oxford, and Terri Powell and her husband, Tom, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Dustin Stokes and his wife, Jessica, Mandy Weaver and her husband, Mark, Bethany Perry and her husband, David, and Drew Powell; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Ann L. Williams, of Anniston; and two nieces, Lynne Mayor and her husband, Sindo, and Dana Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Agape Sunday School Class at Parker Memorial Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Homebound Ministry at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Avenue, Anniston, AL 36201.
