Inus M. Nott, February 26, 1928 -January 6, 2017. Ms. Nott, 88, passed away Friday night at RMC. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home,today Jan. 10, 2017 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral home with Monty Clendenin officiating. Robert Gordon will be officiating graveside service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin. Ms. Nott is survived by one sister, Eunice Elkins, and one sister-in-law, Muffie Young; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and one special friend, Dawn Ann Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Nott, three sisters, Myrle Gidley, Gladys Jennings, and Willie Jean Young; two brothers, Pete Young and Fred Young; her parents Naomi and Authur Young. Ms. Nott was a native of Cleburne County. She married her husband and moved to Pennsylvania. After her husband's retirement, they returned home to Alabama to enjoy their remaining years. Ms. Nott enjoyed her love of sewing. She made pillows and blankets that she gave to residents in area nursing homes. She was loved and cared for by her neighbors in her Golden Springs neighborhood. Ms. Nott was a special lady and was loved by her friends and family. Ms. Nott attended Leyden Hill Chapel Presbyterian Church in Blue Mountain. Pallbearers will be Maverick Gidley, Hayden Carpenter, Michael Elkins, Michael Young, Freddie Young and Micaiah Young. Miller Funeral Home 256-831-4611
