Graveside service for J B Curvin, 81, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Crook Cemetery with the Rev. Byron Duke officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Curvin died December 6, 2015 at Jacksonville RMC. Survivors include daughters, Sherry Bright, Teresa Rogers, Beverly O'Dell and Regina Parrish; son, Terry Curvin; sister, Hazel Clark; 14 grandchildren. 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Curvin is preceded in death by his parents, J B and Ola Curvin; wife, Dorothy Mae Curvin; sister, Ruby Stillwell; sisters, Elsie Tucker and Lillian Patterson; brother, Fred Curvin. Pallbearers will be Joshua Bright, Zach Pate, Corey Pate, Jim Rogers, Jonathan Brimer and Brandon Kilgore. Mr. Curvin was a native and life-long resident of Calhoun County. He enjoyed woodworking and was an Alabama fan. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Curvin served in the U. S. Army in Korea. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
