Jack Allen Goff, 80, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at home. Jack was born on June 27, 1936 in Newberry, S.C. to the late Kelly Goff and Emma Long Hendrix Goff. He joined the United States Army at the age of 17 and retired after 20 years of service in 1973. He then worked at the Anniston Army Depot before starting his own business, Goff's Heating and Air Conditioning. He enjoyed gardening, baking, helping others in the community and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marion Catherine Rentz Goff; three children, John Goff (Pam), Patricia Goff Carretero (Miguel) and David Goff (Billy); six grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Chris, Collin, Bruce and Sarah; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Emma Goff; his siblings, Elizabeth Ann "Bootsie" Lipscomb, Kelly Goff, Douglas "Bo Jack" Goff and William Henry "Buddy" Goff. Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Anniston with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens in Anniston.
