Funeral service for Mr. Jack Geier, 89, will be at 12 p.m. on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Mack Amis officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Geier passed away on February 20, 2016 at the Col. Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home in Pell City. Mr. Geier was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy in World War II. Mr. Geier attended Auburn University and retired after 38 years from South Central Bell. He was an avid woodworker and built furniture for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Louise Sutley Geier; his parents, Louie C. Geier and Lida Vaudrey Reynolds Geier; two sons, Rickey Lynn Geier and Tommy Glenn Geier; and sisters, Vaudrey Gaulding and Sara Smith. Mr. Geier is survived by his children, Mike Geier, Wayne Geier, Tim Geier and Tabatha Coleman; seven grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Geier and Donald Geier; a sister, Joan Anderson; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
