A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Jackie E. Cummings, of Oxford, formerly of Foley and Huntsville, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday July 13, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Reverend Bryan Lowe and Chaplain Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Greenwood, Miss. Mrs. Cummings passed away on July 6, 2015, at Autumn Cove Assisted Living Community after a lengthly illness. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Autumn Cove for the personal care given to Mrs. Cummings. Mrs. Cummings had resided in Huntsville for 35 years and was retired from Morton Thiokol Corp. at Redstone Arsenal. She had been a committed member of the Sweet Adelines Chapter in Huntsville for many years. Mrs. Cummings was a former member and served in executive leadership roles with the South Baldwin Republican Women in Foley. She was active with the Foley Women's Club for several years. Mrs. Cummings was a charter member and served on the Board of Advisors for The Snook Family YMCA in Foley for ten years. She was a former member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Elberta, AL and a current member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Henry A. Cummings, of Oxford; a daughter, Denise L. Gipson, of Oxford; two sons, Tommy S. Beck, of Huntsville, and Theodore D. Beck III, of Crawford, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Benedict Catholic School, 12786 Illinois St., Elberta, AL 36530-2592. K.L.
