Graveside service for Jacqueline Hart Morgan, 94, will be Friday, March 7, 2014, at 3 p.m., at Nances Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Garry Brown and the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. Mrs. Morgan died Friday, February 28, 2014, at Castle Pines Health & Rehab in Lufkin, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Gordon) Hutmacher; two sons, Samuel (Sonja) Morgan and Benjamin (Victoria) Morgan; two grandchildren, Sarah Morgan and Michael Morgan; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ben Morgan, Michael Morgan, Havey Morgan, Gordon Hutmacher, Morris Penny, Jerry Kiser and Sam Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Glenbrook Methodist in Houston Texas. She served as a Women Airforce Service Pilot during WWII where she was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for her service and was a captain in the Civil Air Patrol. She studied music at the Conservatory of Chicago and at SMU. As a lover of animals, Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Irish Setter Club of Houston and the H.O.T. Dog Club. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morgan and her parents, Earl and Mary Hart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local SPCA.
