Jacqueline "Jackie" Hunter passed away on November 28, 2016. She was born in Gadsden in 1934 and grew up on the family farm in Altoona. She was married to O.B. Hunter and while he was in the Korean War, she graduated JSU. Jackie taught fifth grade at 10th Street Elementary School, later taught kindergarten at FUMC, then at Ft. McClellan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim; daughter, Telita and O.B. She is survived by her son, Ben. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the First United Methodist music or scholarship fund, Big Oak Boys and Girls Ranch, or the Community Enabler. There will be a private burial.
