Funeral services with military honors for James Allen Gregory, 37, of Oxford, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Harvest Church of God. Bishop Jerry Irwin will officiate and burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. His family will receive friends this evening from 5-8 at Harvest Church of God. Allen passed away January 24, 2011. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed. He was a God loving family man that loved spending time with his family and especially his two boys. He is survived by his wife, Brandi Gregory; sons, Jakeb Gregory and Chance Gregory; mother, Yvonne Gregory; brother, Jeremy Gregory (Kim); nieces, Gracie Gregory, Chase Chandler, Rian Chandler; nephews, Myles Gregory, Tyler Gregory, Tate Gregory; sister-in-law, Jeanna Chandler (Todd); father-in-law, Wayne Johnson; mother-in-law, Jeannie Robertson (Steve). Allen is preceded in death by his father, Paul Allen Gregory. Allen was a native of Kansas and a long time Oxford resident. He was an Oxford High School graduate, Class of '92, Member of the Alabama National Guard, OCS Class# 41 of 1997. He was employed by United Parcel Service since 1997. Allen was a hard working man and was a master carpenter. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gregory, Myles Gregory, Mark White, Todd Chandler, Terry Boone, Larry Prickett, Ryan Hicks, and Chuck Hurley.
