Funeral service for James E. "Jack" Dothard, 88, will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. James O. Rainey and the Rev. Alton Paris officiating. Burial will follow at Four Mile Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 - 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Dothard passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Dothard; children, Jack Dothard, Patricia Dean (Mike), Mike Dothard, Andy Broadwell (Brenda), Cheryl Connor and Willie Dothard (Angie); grandchildren, Becky NeSmith (Jeremy), Heath Dean (Trisha), Anjanette' Miller (Carson), Misty Miller (Jeff), Matthew Whitecloud, Chris Broadwell (Sarah), Aleisha Morgan (Scott), Tony Broadwell (Elaine), Jacob McGuire, Garrett Dothard and Hayden Dothard; 27 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dothard is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Irene Dothard; brothers, Harold, Arthur and Larry Dothard. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mr. Dothard was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He loved his family, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and was an avid Alabama fan.
