James Randall "Randy" Carter, 58, formerly of Oxford, passed away on October 16, 2017. At his request, a private service was held by his immediate family. Mr. Carter is survived by his three brothers, Tony Carter (Karen), Mike Carter (Melissa), and Marty Carter (Saundra); nieces, Katelyn Carter, Kayla Shealy (Jarred), Courtney Zeiders, Chelsey Zeiders, Kaitlynn Zeiders, Kara Carter, Theresa Brock (Michael), and Michelle Stafford (Kevin), and nephew, Michael Gatlin (Gina). Mr. Carter served in the United States Navy, worked for Alabama Limousine, and was a retired accountant. He was a graduate of Oxford High School, class of 1977, Gadsden State Community College and Jacksonville State University. He was an avid reader, loved history, politics, camping, riding his motorcycles, and fishing. Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Carter, and his parents, Ralph C. and Jackie P.
