Funeral service for James "Ricky" Smith, 56, of Oxford will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Jerry Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Trail Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home in the event center. Mr. Smith died Sunday at RMC. He is survived by his wife, of 35 years, Janet Smith; six children, Mandy Reed (Dylan), Seneca Vann (David) of Georgia, Scott Conner, Jason Smith, Little Ricky Smith, and Amanda Morrow of Oxford; nine grandchildren, Hope, Meranda, Aaron Jeswald, Christian Bradford, of Georgia, Christopher, Savannah, and Nicholas Morrow, of Oxford, Kylie and Brent Conner, of Oxford; 1 great grandchild, Brantlee Jeswalt; three brothers, Harold Smith, of Georgia, Eddie Smith, Brian Smith, both of Oxford; four sisters, Louise Baker, Barbara Holsumback, Rhonda Anderson all of Oxford, Sandra Winningham of Alexandria, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tolby Williams, Tommy Williams, Tony Williams, Gary Thomas, Brian Baldwin, Justin McCormick, Patrick Granner and Johnny Warren. ? Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Smith; father, Alex Smith, two brothers, Steve Smith and Bruce Smith.
