Funeral service for Mr. James "Ronnie" Homesley, 67, will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel, with the Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Homesley died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at RMC in Anniston. The family requests casual attire in memory of Mr. Homesley. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Homesley, of Weaver; one daughter, Carrie (John Thompson) Homesley, of Weaver; two sons, Craig (Penny) Homesley and Chris Homesley, all of Weaver; nine grandchildren, Donovan (Sarah) Howell, of Niles, Ohio, Ryan (Kaci) Barker, of Beale AFB, Calif., Mikey Homesley, Hunter Homesley, Colby Thompson, Haley Homesley, Taylor Thompson, Dalton Homesley and McKennah Homesley, all of Weaver; three great grandchildren, Lily Joyce Howell, Rayne Chrisann Howell and Rhonda Naomi Howell, all of Niles, Ohio; two brothers, Hughey "Bigun" (Sandra) Homesley and Dewey Homesley, all of Weaver; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be members of the family. Mr. Homesley was of the Baptist faith and was a US Air Force veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War Era. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot after working there for 34 years. Mr. Homesley was a family man that never put himself first. He always thought of others and cared deeply for many. Mr. Homesley held his family close to his heart. He enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his wife, children and grandchildren and was a loving husband, father and "PawPaw". In his spare time he loved to hunt, fish and watch Alabama football, of which he was a die hard fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Homesley was preceded in death by his parents, Mose James and Christine Marie Homesley; his grandparents, Walt and Corrine Little john and Steve and Josie Homesley; his sister, Sonja Cain.
