James Terry Johnson, 62, died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Vincent St. Clair. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. James Owens, Dr. Steve Dempsey, and the Rev. Marc Curlee officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be today, May 9, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include wife, Debbie Johnson, of Heflin; daughter, Anna Johnson, of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, Navi Rosland and Adrian Linux Gray; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerrell and Joyce Thrower. Pallbearers will be Danny Lines, Shag Austin, David Norton, Matthew Hand, David Ledbetter, and Bill Prestridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Terry was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County, and employed with Anniston Army Depot. Terry was a member and deacon of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Grace Johnson. Terry was a founding member of Oak Level Quartet and an avid motocross rider.
