Graveside service for Mr. James W. Kelly, 94, was Monday, August 10, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Highland Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. Mr. Kelly passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Piedmont Health Care Center. Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Lynn (Tim); two sons, Eddie Kitchens (Brenda) and Jim Kelly (Missy); seven grandchildren, Angie Kitchens, Scott Kitchens, Debbie Mitchell, Meagan Kelly Kirk (Cain Eric), Sentry Kelly, T.J. Lynn, and April Lynn; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Kelly was a resident of Piedmont most of his life, a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont and the Lozahatchee Masonic Lodge #97 F&AM. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and loved the outdoors and gardening. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, June Kelly; son, Larry Kitchens; one brother and one sister. The family extends a special "Thank You" to Piedmont Health Care and to Alacare Hospice.
