Funeral services for Mr. James William Scott, 71, of Eastaboga, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Danny Mattox officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Gray Brown Service. Mr. Scott passed away Saturday in Anniston. Survivors include daughters, Pam Campbell (Mike), of Anniston, Rebecca Scott, of Oxford; sons, Dennis Scott, of Anniston, Jerre Scott, of Oxford and Steve Scott, of Anniston; grandchildren, Jason Campbell, Stephanie Campbell Welch, Jennifer Mayfield Wade, Ashley Mayfield, Levi Bailey, Katie Scott, Adam Scott, and Jana Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Jordan Campbell, Judson Campbell, Madison Pope, Jaxson Pope, Kylee Wade, Isaac Pruitt; brother, Woodie Scott, of Eastaboga. Mr. Scott is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Scott; a daughter, Debra Scott Mayfield and his parents James and Gertrude Scott. Pallbearers will be Mike Campbell, Dennis Scott, Jerre Scott, Steve Scott, Jason Campbell, Adam Scott. Mr. Scott retired from Anniston Army depot and was a member of Word Alive International Outreach. He loved fishing and was an avid Alabama Football Fan and Atlanta Braves Fan.
