James William Sharp, born August 2, 1937 in Overton, Texas, died October 19, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Mr. Sharp was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Sharp Sr. and Juanita Littlefield Sharp; his brother, John R. Sharp Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Jonita Sharp Haynes, husband, James and Janice Sharp McAdams, husband, Charles; one niece, Jeneane Haynes Treace, husband, Anthony; one nephew, John William McAdams; a great-niece, Julia Treace; a great-nephew, William Treace. Jim, as he is known to family and friends, was a navy veteran and a member of Mr. Zion Baptist Church. The family would like to thank those friends who watched over Jim during his lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel in Anniston. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
