Memorial service for Jana Kirkpatrick, will be Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Nances Creek Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Ethan Gouger and the Rev. John Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Kerr family cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Jana passed away June 19, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona, where she was working as a travel nurse. Survivors include her husband, Danny Beavers; children, Ivy Hooper (Jeremy), of Piedmont, Ashley Johnson (Stephen), of Jacksonville, Justin Kirkpatrick (Lindsay), of Roanoke, and Josh Kirkpatrick (Heather), of Jacksonville; her mother, June Kerr Ivie; one sister, Dara Cole (John); grandchildren, Gavin Walker, Kerrigan Johnson, Anabella Kirkpatrick, Oliver Kirkpatrick, Jackson Kirkpatrick, Johnathon Kirkpatrick and Jeremiah Kirkpatrick. Jana had been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 35 years. She was a member of Nances Creek Congregational Holiness Church, loved taking care of people, and was an outstanding nurse. She was employed at Kindred Hospital in Tucson, Arizona at the time of her passing. She was previously employed at Piedmont Health Care Center, Regional Medical Center and Cherokee Health and Rehab. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Ivie, and her sister, Dona Doyal.
