Funeral service for Mrs. Janice C. Kimbrough, will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Ala. with Pastor Angelo Groce officiating. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be held today 1-7 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Goodson Funeral Home, Inc. directing. As a 1969 graduate of Cobb Avenue High School, she went on to earn her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Alabama A&M University. After teaching in various states such as Texas, Pennsylvania and Georgia she returned to the Anniston School system, where she was a devoted educator for twenty-five years at Randolph Park Elementary School. During that time, she worked in various positions and grade levels proving her dedication, and determination to making a difference in the lives of the students that she touched. She was initiated into the Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Iota Mu Omega chapter where she continued to devote her time and energy to be of service to all mankind. Survivors include her husband, Milton Joe Kimbrough; son, Milton Jerel Kimbrough; two daughters, Monica K. Ward (Sheldon), Marquetta Kimbrough; three grandchildren Jordan Davis, Morgan Ward and Iverson Kimbrough. Her devoted brothers, sisters and in-laws, Gloria C. Tramble (Horace), James E. Crook Jr.(Victoria), Constance C. Rowser, Rev. Acrus G. Crook, Darryl D. Crook( Debra) Nathaniel Kimbrough (Livier), Robert Kimbrough (Harriett), Nolan Kimbrough (Cheryl), Linda Kimbrough; a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
